Key Responsibilities of the Reserving Actuary
- Provide actuarial advice and technical support to business units across the UK and Europe
- Deliver quarterly reserving analysis and support business planning and portfolio reviews
- Forecast technical provisions and uncertainties for management reporting and profitability studies
- Mentor junior actuaries and contribute to developing a culture of excellence
- Drive process improvements and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance efficiency and insight
Desirable Skills and Requirements of the Reserving Actuary
- Experience in actuarial reserving, ideally within general insurance
- Strong technical knowledge and analytical capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Excel and other actuarial or data modelling tools
