Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: 10 minutes from Uxbridge / ~40 minutes via public transport
Hours: Mon–Thurs 08:00–17:00, Fri 08:00–12:00 (37 hours per week)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x basic rate
Start Date: ASAP

We’re looking for a Paint Prepper to join a global aerospace manufacturer near Uxbridge. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing high-precision components for painting and finishing, ensuring every part meets strict aerospace quality standards.

What you’ll be doing:

Prepare components for painting, including masking, unmasking, and surface cleaning

Carry out abrasive cleaning, shot blasting, and vibration deburring

Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure correct specifications

Inspect and quality check surfaces before and after paint application

Operate finishing equipment safely and efficiently

Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe at all times

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience in a paint prepper, finishing, or similar role (automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing)

Ability to read and follow engineering drawings

Skilled in using basic measuring equipment and hand tools

Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and safe handling of materials
