Switchboard Operator (Shift Worker) | Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
The role of the Shift Worker Switchboard Operator is to deal with internal and external callers, and to transfer calls to appropriate departments and staff efficiently.

• To answer calls into switchboard and direct call to the appropriate departments and staff, and to deal callers general enquiries.
• To process emergency calls and alarms.
• To process bleep and pager communications.
• Record actions as required. You will be working part of your shifts with a team of 3 other staff, of a contingent of eight others and a part time manager. Other shifts will involve relieving your counterpart lone shift worker. All operators work in the same Switchboard Office.
