Year 6 Teacher — Southwark
An Outstanding Southwark primary is recruiting an experienced and inspiring Year 6 Teacher to join the senior phase on a Full-Time basis with a January 2026 start. The successful Year 6 Teacher will be invited to planning sessions prior to January 2026, attend a detailed induction in January 2026, and begin teaching from January 2026. This Year 6 Teacher role is ideal for a practitioner who enjoys data-informed practice, leading high-impact interventions and coordinating transition to secondary school from January 2026.

(Year 6 Teacher) Responsibilities
The Year 6 Teacher will plan and deliver ambitious curriculum sequences focused on reading comprehension, reasoning in mathematics and independent writing. The Year 6 Teacher will run targeted booster groups, manage assessment cycles and use progress data to accelerate outcomes. The Year 6 Teacher will co-ordinate SATs preparation where relevant, lead parent transition meetings and mentor younger staff as part of the role. The Year 6 Teacher is expected to contribute to whole-school improvement planning before January 2026 and after the January 2026 start.
(Year 6 Teacher) Requirements
• QTS and proven evidence of securing outstanding outcomes as a Year 6 Teacher.
• Strong classroom leadership, excellent behaviour management and the ability to translate assessment into action as a Year 6 Teacher.
• Available for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026 and full teaching duties from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 6 Teacher.
