Weekend Live-In Nanny (French-Speaking Preferred)

A warm and welcoming family of five based in Hampstead, North London are seeking a fun, energetic, and creative Weekend Live-in Nanny to care for their three children – two boys aged 9 and 13, and their sister aged 10.
This is a shared-care position working closely alongside mum, within a fully staffed household. The role would suit a confident, proactive Nanny (male or female) who genuinely enjoys engaging with older children and their friends, and who thrives in an active, outdoor-focused environment.
The children have busy weekends filled with sports, training sessions, and playdates. Therefore, the Nanny must be confident managing one child independently whilst also overseeing multiple children at once.
Position Details
- Location : Hampstead, North London
- Schedule : Friday 8:00pm – Sunday 8:00pm
- Accommodation : Live-in (weekends only) - en-suite bedroom on the same floor as the children
- Salary : £600 net per weekend
- Start Date : ASAP
- Language : French-speaking a strong bonus
- Driver : Desired but not essential
- Travel : Occasional travel during school holidays (availability required)
Working Pattern & Downtime
- Children are in bed by 9:00pm on Friday and Saturday evenings
- Earlier bedtime on Sundays due to school
- The Nanny is expected to be up by 8:00am on Saturday and Sunday mornings to prepare the children for football and tennis
- There is downtime during the day when the children are resting or occupied
- The Nanny must remain on the property during this time
- Some weekends may involve caring for only one child, depending on playdates or sleepovers
- On Sunday afternoons, the parents often take the children out alone, allowing the Nanny a longer break

- Gentle, patient, and calm, yet confident and firm when required
- Actively engages with the children and their friends during playdates
- Trustworthy, responsible, and highly discreet
- A strong team player who works well alongside mum, House Manager, Chef, Housekeeper and Weekday Nanny (the Weekday Nanny may assist on busy weekends or for travel)
- Comfortable working alongside extended family when involved
- Flexible, hardworking, and committed during busy weekends
- Proactive and creative, always thinking of new games, activities, and outings
- Outdoorsy, sporty, and energetic
- Confident and experienced with older children
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing breakfast before the children wake (smoothies, waffles, pancakes, eggs, etc)
- Getting the children ready for the day
- Coordinating and splitting responsibilities with mum for sports, matches, training, and playdates
- Planning and researching weekend activities and outings
- Actively playing with the children and their friends during playdates
- Managing dinner and bedtime routines
- Occasional cooking when the Chef is not present
- Keeping children’s rooms, playroom, and belongings organised and tidy
- Staying on top of weekend schedules and communicating closely with mum
- Working alongside extended family when required
- Sole charge when mum is travelling
- Occasional travel, taking full responsibility for the children and acting as a second mum
