We are looking for an experienced career researcher to join the growing research platform here at Arkesden.

The Role:

Our Research function is a core key to our ability to deliver mandates at numerous levels and across broad geographies. As a Researcher at Arkesden, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting multiple teams, collaborating closely with senior leadership and consultants to gain a deep understanding of our specialist verticals and become an expert in our markets. This is a broad role where you will gain exposure to the full search lifecycle – desk-based research and market mapping, candidate engagement / management, and wider search delivery. We also encourage researchers to gain client and candidate exposure and you will be asked to attend pitches and sit in on update calls, briefings and presentations and relationship building meetings.

Reporting to the Head of Research, you’ll help shape our research function and increase our level of market knowledge, ensuring we continue to deliver insight-led, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth market research and talent mapping across various investment sectors.
• Support and Head of Research and Partners & Principals on retained search mandates.
• Identify and engage with truly top performing candidates.
• Develop a deep understanding of client objectives and challenges to deliver tailored research.
• Contribute to longlist and shortlist calls, maintaining our high standards of delivery.
• Help shape search strategy and execution in a collaborative, team-led approach.
• Take ownership of candidate outreach, assessment and management throughout the process.

Candidate Profile:

• Intellectually curious with strong research and analytical skills.
• Confident communicator, capable of engaging with senior professionals..
• Highly organised and proactive with a keen eye for detail and experience managing multiple projects.
• Comfortable working in a high-performing, high-trust environment.
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative setting.
• Strong market and industry research skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information quickly.
• Minimum 1 years of experience in a professional research role ideally within a retained financial services search environment.
