A progressive secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking an enthusiastic ECT of History (Year 1 or 2) committed to driving academic rigour from January 2026.

You will teach History across KS3 and GCSE with a reduced timetable and a dedicated mentor. The induction is highly structured , focusing on mastering the delivery of rigorous historical concepts, source analysis, and developing strong essay writing skills, using the department’s shared resources.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS or completing final training in History or a related Humanities field
- High commitment to promoting rigorous academic discussion and critical thinking
- Willingness to fully engage with the school's structured weekly coaching cycle
- Excellent potential for engaging and consistent instruction
