The Role
As the first point of contact for visitors, parents and students, the School Receptionist plays a central role in presenting a warm, professional and efficient welcome to the school community.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing the main reception area and greeting visitors
• Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries appropriately
• Maintaining visitor safeguarding procedures and signing-in systems
• Managing incoming and outgoing post
• Supporting attendance administration
• Assisting with general clerical and office tasks
The role requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational ability and a calm, professional manner at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
• Previous reception or front-of-house experience (school experience desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office
• High levels of discretion and confidentiality
• Professional presentation and approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
