Year 2 Teacher - Barnet
Are you a creative and committed Year 2 Teacher looking for a rewarding KS1 opportunity? A welcoming primary school in Barnet is seeking a passionate Year 2 Teacher to join their team from January 2026.
This Year 2 Teacher role in Barnet will start in January 2026, with a full induction completed before January 2026 and support available throughout January 2026. The Year 2 Teacher will deliver engaging, structured lessons that secure strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.
As a Year 2 Teacher in Barnet, you will plan purposeful learning sequences, lead daily phonics sessions and guide pupils through reading and writing development. The Year 2 Teacher will also contribute to whole-school planning and moderation activities while working alongside experienced support staff in Barnet.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver structured Year 2 Teacher lessons across KS1
- Provide daily phonics and guided reading sessions
- Track and assess pupil progress
- Organise classroom resources and routines
- Build strong relationships with families in Barnet
Ideal candidate
- KS1 or Year 2 teaching experience
- Strong understanding of early reading and phonics
- Calm, organised and consistent approach
- Available for January 2026
