Strong financial leadership helps great schools deliver outstanding education. An Outstanding secondary school in Westminster is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to join its leadership support team on a full-time, permanent basis from October Half Term 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the school's financial operations, working closely with senior leaders to ensure resources are managed effectively while supporting the school's ambitious plans for continued success.
The Role
The Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial management of the school, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial controls.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing budgets, forecasts and financial reporting
Overseeing purchase orders, invoices and supplier payments
Preparing monthly management accounts
Supporting payroll and pension processes
Monitoring cash flow and financial performance
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements
Working with senior leaders on strategic financial planning
Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiency

About You
The school is seeking an experienced finance professional with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
Previous experience within education would be beneficial, although candidates from commercial, charity or public sector finance backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Experience preparing budgets, financial reports and managing day-to-day finance operations is essential.
