Resident Safety Support Coordinator

Resident Safety Support Coordinator
London based with balance of home and office working
£39,707 - £41,800 per year plus Company car or car allowance
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm
Temporary position for up to 24 months
We have an opportunity for two Resident Safety Support Coordinators to join our Building Safety team in London. The main purpose of these roles is to engage with our customers to identify those who may need assistance to evacuate in an emergency and undertake/review Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRA's) and Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs). You will be also responsible for providing individual Emergency Evacuation Statements as well as undertaking a variety of other Customer Engagement activities.
These roles sit within the Building Safety department which is playing a key role in ensuring that the Group meets all new and existing legislative and regulatory requirements with regard to building safety.
These roles have been funded by UK Government.
The role of Resident Safety Support Coordinator will include:
- Working with customers to assess needs and identifying who falls within the Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (R-PEEP) regulations
- Managing multiple cases through our systems, ensuring accurate and timely record keeping
- Communicating with customers using their preferred method of contact, including conducting home visits
- Completing Person-Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs) and all related evacuation documentation, ensuring reviews are completed annually, or as when required
- Coordinating equipment, adaptations and any required works to support residents evacuation arrangements, working with internal teams and external specialists where required
- Managing sensitive data responsibly, in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and safeguarding expectations. Share relevant information securely and appropriately with the Fire and Rescue Service
- Coordinating and undertaking routine customer engagement activities to support and implement the resident engagement strategy
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to L3 qualification in fire safety / assessment / engineering or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
- Proven experience of working directly with residents with varied and complex needs, with strong awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion
- Experience completing PCFRAs or similar person-centred assessments
- Knowledge of fire safety and risks within medium/high risk residential buildings
- Experience of working with and providing advice to building residents
- Proven experience in data protection and safeguarding responsibilities
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of aids and adaptations and processes, and experience working with local authorities and other external stakeholders
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- Role salary is £35,908 with an additional policy allowance of £3,799 per annum (rising to £37,801 with an additional policy allowance of £3,999 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
