We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Year 5 Class Teacher to join a friendly, high-achieving independent primary school in Bexleyheath from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to both full-time and part-time applicants, ideal for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to flourish in a nurturing and enriching environment.

The Role

  • Position : Year 5 Class Teacher
  • Location : Bexleyheath, Greater London
  • Start Date : January 2026
  • Contract : Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time considered

You will:

  • Teach a small, well-behaved and eager Year 5 class
  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Deepen pupils’ knowledge and skills in preparation for Year 6 and beyond
  • Promote independence, confidence and a love of learning
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive staff team and communicate effectively with parents
  • Participate fully in school life, including trips, events and extracurricular activities

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS2 – ideally Year 5 or Upper Key Stage 2
  • A sound understanding of the KS2 curriculum and high expectations for all pupils
  • Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills
  • A warm, child-centred approach and ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and school involvement
