An outstanding Richmond primary is recruiting an empathetic and creative Reception Teacher to lead their Early Years class on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will be central to children’s first school experiences: you will design language-rich continuous provision, lead systematic phonics and nurture social development from the moment you join. The Reception Teacher will take part in planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and will be teaching from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher.
• Reception Teacher - Full-Time role with a January 2026 start.
• Reception Teacher to join a well-resourced Richmond primary - planning and induction begin January 2026.
• Reception Teacher will receive tailored CPD and mentor support from January 2026.
School snapshot
• Popular Richmond school with an inclusive ethos and excellent outdoor provision to support the Reception Teacher.
• Strong pastoral systems and experienced support staff who work alongside the Reception Teacher.
• Structured CPD and peer-coaching for every Reception Teacher starting with induction in January 2026.
Reception Teacher Responsibilities
The Reception Teacher will: plan and deliver high-quality phonics sessions as the Reception Teacher; lead story, language and early number work as the Reception Teacher; design continuous provision that develops independence as the Reception Teacher; assess and track early learning goals and report to families as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will prepare resources before January 2026, participate in induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher.
Reception Teacher Requirements
We seek a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS or equivalent, strong EYFS practice and confident phonics delivery. The Reception Teacher should be reflective, highly organised and able to work with families and multi-agency colleagues. Availability for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and a full-time start in January 2026 is essential for the Reception Teacher.
Why join? This Reception Teacher role starting January 2026 offers a positive work culture, protected planning time, and opportunities to lead Early Years initiatives. If you’re a warm, skilled Reception Teacher ready to inspire and shape children’s first school year from January 2026, we want to hear from you.
To be considered for this Reception Teacher position, please forward an up-to-date version of your CV.
