Reception Teacher | Richmond
An outstanding Richmond primary is recruiting an empathetic and creative Reception Teacher to lead their Early Years class on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will be central to children’s first school experiences: you will design language-rich continuous provision, lead systematic phonics and nurture social development from the moment you join. The Reception Teacher will take part in planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and will be teaching from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities
The Reception Teacher will: plan and deliver high-quality phonics sessions as the Reception Teacher; lead story, language and early number work as the Reception Teacher; design continuous provision that develops independence as the Reception Teacher; assess and track early learning goals and report to families as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will prepare resources before January 2026, participate in induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher.
Reception Teacher Requirements
We seek a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS or equivalent, strong EYFS practice and confident phonics delivery. The Reception Teacher should be reflective, highly organised and able to work with families and multi-agency colleagues. Availability for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and a full-time start in January 2026 is essential for the Reception Teacher.
