Growing Specialist Insurance Broker
I’m working with a leading insurance broking business that is looking to hire a Business Development Executive into its Professional & Financial Risks division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong BD experience who enjoys winning new business, building relationships and helping to drive growth in a highly respected team.
The role is ideal for someone who is motivated, organised and commercially curious, with a genuine appetite to learn the broking world and progress long term.
Our client is flexible on location for this candidate, whilst they are based in London, successful candidates can be FULLY REMOTE !
The Role
The BD Executive will support the firm’s growth strategy by identifying new opportunities, connecting with potential clients, and helping the team secure new revenue. You’ll play a key role in outreach, relationship building, pitching and pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage new business prospects through calls, emails, networking and market research
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Support pitches, presentations, negotiation and deal conversion
- Track market trends and industry data to highlight opportunities
- Maintain and update CRM records and manage the BD pipeline
- Support Account Executives and Brokers, with opportunities for professional development
- Handle client questions professionally and uphold company reputation
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, compliance standards and external regulations (e.g. FCA, Lloyd’s)
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years’ Business Development experience
- Proven success sourcing, qualifying and converting new business opportunities
- Excellent communication skills — confident, clear and client focused
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, positive approach and the ability to work well with internal teams
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality
