We are currently seeking a Head of Audit for a growing firm in the South. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading audit engagements, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards, and managing client relationships. They will also oversee a team, ensuring high-quality delivery of services and driving business development across the firm.

The Head of Audit will lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, reviewing and approving audit plans, working papers, and reports. They will mentor and develop audit staff, providing training and support to ensure continuous professional growth. Additionally, the role involves managing workflow allocation, meeting billing and cash flow targets, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling services within areas like tax, wealth planning, and funding.

Candidates must be qualified in ACCA or ACA with significant experience in a practice environment and hold RI status registered with the FRC. A proven track record at Audit Director level or above, along with technical expertise in FRS102 and IFRS/SORP, is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing audit teams and building strong client relationships.

The firm offers a flexible and supportive work environment, including a bespoke training plan. Remote working is available for up to 20% of contracted time, with the opportunity to work away from home for up to four weeks per year.
