Job Description
UK&I Large Merchant Acceptance is a team dedicated to meeting the needs of our Large Merchant partners across five key sectors. The goal is for clients to view Visa as a trusted strategic partner that delivers tangible value through a deep and broad product set. Our actions are aimed at protecting and increasing payment volumes, revenue contributions, enhancing the perceived value by merchants, and creating intelligent, effortless and trusted payments for every consumer, every business, everywhere. Our team's focus is on commercializing both existing and new merchant relationships to drive Visa's revenue.
This senior role provides the opportunity to lead engagement and strategy in a specific merchant vertical. You will develop and manage key relationships, support needs, and drive business growth aligned to targets. Reporting to the Head of Merchant Acceptance UK&I, you'll collaborate with broader Visa teams to deliver high-profile strategies. As a part of the broader Merchant Acceptance & Acquiring org, you will use account leadership, consultative selling, and strategic thinking to provide solutions, enable new flows, and expand acceptance.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Adopting a client-centric sales strategy, building strong and mutual value with some of Visa's most strategically important merchant partners.
Taking accountability for a strategic UK&I portfolio of clients which includes EU and GMAC Merchants.
Establishing SME status for your sector and related strategy internally at Visa, driving cross-functional engagement to progress and secure opportunities at pace.
Driving positive business outcomes, establishing fluency in Visa seller solutions and effectively articulating all aspects of the Visa value proposition.
Ensuring reporting excellence by maintaining accurate and up-to-date reporting using preferred CRM platforms.
Continuously reviewing market and sector landscapes and recommending, developing, and implementing new creative approaches to growing the business.
Striving to deliver Visa goals and being a senior role model for Visa's leadership principles.
Prioritizing and focusing on key deliverables, executing in a fast and entrepreneurial way.
Qualifications
Experienced results-oriented Account Director with proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills - exceptional at developing relationships and sales partnerships.
Deep experience in payments, financial services or fintech, with strong expertise in Value Added Services, data driven selling and product sales.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships and communicate at all levels of the organization, including executive management.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across functions/geographies in a complex matrixed environment.
Possesses high standards of ethics and integrity towards employees, stakeholders, and customers.
