PPA Teacher | Wandsworth
A well-resourced primary school in Wandsworth is recruiting a dependable PPA Teacher to start January 2026. The PPA Teacher will plan and deliver cover lessons that align with class teachers’ long-term plans, ensuring continuity and progress during PPA time. The successful PPA Teacher will deliver sessions across a range of subjects, give clear feedback to class teachers and support pupils to stay on track. Preparation and handover will take place prior to January 2026 so the PPA Teacher can begin confidently.

• PPA Teacher required to deliver high-quality curriculum cover across the school in Wandsworth
• PPA Teacher to provide creative, consistent PPA sessions across KS1 and KS2
This PPA Teacher role requires a flexible, classroom-ready practitioner who can manage groups effectively, adapt resources for mixed-ability classes and communicate clearly with year-group teams. The Wandsworth school provides supportive leadership and regular planning time to help the PPA Teacher maintain high standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan sequenced PPA lessons that follow class teachers’ medium-term plans and learning objectives.
- Deliver engaging cover lessons across core and foundation subjects, providing formative feedback.
- Manage behaviour and routines to maximise learning during PPA slots.
- Liaise with class teachers to ensure smooth handovers and effective continuity of learning.
- Contribute to resource development and share successful practice at curriculum meetings.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher (or equivalent experience) with recent classroom practice and strong subject knowledge appropriate for a PPA Teacher.
- Confident in behaviour management, adaptable planning skills and clear communicator.
- Able to work collaboratively across the Wandsworth school and available to start January 2026.
