Fire Risk Assessor
Completing person-centred FRAs and supporting vulnerable residents where needed.
Ensuring all assessments are delivered to agreed timescales and quality standards.
Collaborating with housing and fire authorities on hoarding and other safety concerns.
Quality-assuring the work of staff, contractors, and consultants involved in fire safety activities.
Supporting new build projects through fire safety reviews of plans, Reg 38 documentation, and site visits.
Providing fire safety training and awareness sessions for staff and residents.
Assisting in Fire & Rescue Service audits and investigations into fires or false alarms.
Maintaining professional competence through ongoing CPD. About You You’ll be a qualified and confident Fire Risk Assessor with excellent communication and analytical skills, capable of providing sound, evidence-based recommendations to reduce risk and ensure compliance. Essential: Recognised fire risk assessment qualification (e.g. FPA, FIA, NEBOSH or equivalent).
Proven experience conducting FRAs within a housing or property management environment.
Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and best practice.
Excellent report writing, auditing, and inspection skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work independently.
Commitment to high standards of customer care and resident safety.
Desirable: Accreditation with a recognised professional register (e.g. IFSM, IFE, FRACS).
Previous experience in housing, estates, or property maintenance related to fire safety.
