Year 6 Teacher | Thriving School in Hounslow | January 2026
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Year 6 Teacher to join our welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow . This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026 , offering an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils through their final year of primary education and preparing them for secondary school. This role will involve teaching a diverse Year 6 class with varying learning needs, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are looking for a teacher who is reflective, adaptable, and committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom where every child can achieve their potential.
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time, Term Time Only
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)
Suitable for: Experienced or Early Career Teachers (ECTs welcome)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver stimulating, differentiated lessons that prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments and beyond.
- Support pupils with a range of SEN and additional learning needs, ensuring lessons are accessible, inclusive, and engaging.
- Assess, track, and celebrate pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and interventions.
- Foster a positive, resilient classroom culture that promotes curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, the SENCo, and parents to provide holistic support for every child.
- Contribute to wider school initiatives, enrichment activities, and whole-school development.
