Senior Consultant - Business Change Manager

BearingPoint United Kingdom
London

BearingPoint is one of Europe’s leading independent, partner led technology services and business consulting organisations and a highly regarded strategic partner for our clients.

This is a great opportunity to join BearingPoint at a pivotal moment of growth and investment and be part of a community of like-minded consultants. We are proud to operate as a “boutique style” cohort of inspired and passionate experts in our field with focus on innovation, collaboration, and customer success.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Consultant in Change Management to join our People & Strategy team.

In this role, you will play a key part in leading and delivering change management workstreams within complex business and technology transformation programmes. You will operate as a trusted advisor to clients, taking ownership of change delivery across defined areas of large-scale programmes, while also contributing to the continued growth of our Change Management capability in the UK.

The Person

We are looking for someone who combines strong consulting experience and has delivered end-to-end change within business transformation programmes.

You will be comfortable leading a change workstream or acting as a Business Change Manager within a wider programme, with responsibility for shaping the approach, managing delivery, and leading small teams.

  • Proven experience delivering change within private and public sector organisations, ideally across large-scale business or technology-enabled transformations

  • A strong track record of leading change management workstreams, with accountability for planning, execution, and outcomes within a broader programme

  • Experience operating as a Business Change Manager or leading a small team, including direct line management responsibility and ongoing development of team members

  • Strong grounding in recognised change methodologies (e.g. Prosci, Kotter, ADKAR), with the ability to apply these pragmatically in complex environments

  • Experience across core change disciplines including stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, communications, training, and benefits realisation

  • The ability to translate programme objectives into structured, deliverable change plans, managing dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence working closely with senior client stakeholders

  • A hands-on, delivery-focused mindset, with the ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, evolving programme environments

  • An interest in contributing to capability growth, including supporting methodology development and mentoring junior consultants

This role is suited to individuals who have moved beyond supporting change delivery and are now leading discrete areas of change within larger transformation programmes.

What can you expect from us?

  • You’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting Change Management engagements as well as contribute to multi‑disciplinary teams delivering large‑scale technology, organisation, and business transformation programmes.

  • You will gain cross‑industry experience, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including retail, financial services, utilities, and the public sector.

  • You’ll be part of a global organisation that offers a broad range of challenging opportunities, while still benefiting from the supportive, close‑knit community of our UK practice where colleagues know each other and are always willing to help.

  • You will be supported to continuously grow your career through structured development, on‑the‑job learning, and opportunities to coach and mentor junior consultants.

  • You will have access to high‑quality training, spanning local offerings through to firmwide multi‑day development programmes—such as the Senior Consultant Programme with Oxford Business School and the Female Leadership Programme with ESCP Europe Business School.

  • You’ll collaborate with creative, like‑minded colleagues to design new ideas, methodologies, and assets that make a real impact for our clients.

  • You will have opportunities to contribute to business development, creating new service offerings and supporting the continued growth of our People & Strategy team.

Why work for us?
