Nursery Nurse | University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Our NICU is the Level 3 unit for the North Central London area which provides specialist intensive care for critically ill babies. We also have close links with an on-site fetal medicine unit whichis a regional, national and international referral centre for fetal medicine, caring for more than 7,000 patients each year. In addition, they have an internationally recognised multidisciplinary team (MDT) who offers individualised care for pregnant women and theirfamilies, when there is a concern for the health of an unborn baby. We hence can provide a wealth and varied unique range of experience.
Within the unit, you will be responsible for the care of special care and transitional care babies, where you will provide holistic family integrated care to the babies and families. We will support and enhance your learning to ensure you feel confident to provide safe, individualised care to all patients and families. You will maintain high standards of care throughout, communicate with the MDT, support with discharge planning, support families with family integrated care practices, and support and foster safe practice on the neonatal unit.
