We’re on the hunt for 4 exceptional Bid Lead’s to inspire our bid team, deliver outstanding industry‑leading submissions, and play a pivotal role in driving our growth and securing the projects that shape the future of our business.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Work closely with the Preconstruction Commercial team to shape and deliver successful bid strategies.
• Build genuine relationships with clients to fully understand their needs and expectations.
• Take ownership of the bid budget and ensure every submission is carefully managed and well presented.
• Lead the coordination and delivery of engaging client presentations that help us secure new projects.
• Guide the entire bid process including tender documentation, bid plans, programmes and selecting the right supply chain partners.
• Collaborate with supply chain members and provide thoughtful technical, legal and financial input to strengthen each bid.
• Maintain clear documentation, manage clarifications and keep teams aligned throughout the process.
• Gather valuable customer insights to support smarter decision making.
• Ensure every submission meets tender requirements and reflects best practice and innovation.
• Lead tender settlement approvals and handovers for successfully secured projects.
• Maintain a strong project risk register and support a smooth transition into delivery.
What You’ll Need
• A relevant degree, strong IT skills across Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, and confidence using estimating software such as CANDY or similar.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy, with professional body membership (RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, MICE or MIStructE) desirable.
• A strong eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple bids accurately and under pressure.
• A solid understanding of the construction tender process, supported by experience in preconstruction, tendering, document control, team leadership and on site work.
• Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build positive client and colleague relationships.
• A calm, professional approach, the confidence to challenge unsafe or incorrect practices and a genuine commitment to mentoring and developing others.
• A collaborative mindset that values open communication, shared goals, mutual respect and continuous improvement.
• A commitment to acting with responsibility, integrity, teamwork and excellence, while following company policies and safe working practices.
