The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced International (non US) D&O / Financial Lines Underwriter to join a small, highly respected and profitable Financial Lines team as part of its next phase of organic growth .
This is a rare opportunity to step into an established and well performing book with a strong track record, excellent broker relationships, and the backing of a business that values underwriting discipline, autonomy, and long term profitability over volume.
The role will suit an underwriter who has already made strong inroads into the international D&O / FI market and is now looking for greater ownership, influence, and visibility in shaping the future of a growing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite International (non US) D&O and Financial Lines business , with a clear focus on disciplined, profitable growth
- Manage and deepen relationships with a panel of core broker partners
- Take ownership of underwriting decisions within agreed authority levels
- Contribute actively to the strategic development of the Financial Lines book , including product development and portfolio management
- Work closely with experienced colleagues in a collaborative, low bureaucracy environment
- Represent the business in the market and support the continued enhancement of the team’s strong reputation
About You
You are likely to have:
- Proven experience underwriting International D&O / Financial Lines business (non US focus essential)
- A strong grounding in FI / D&O underwriting , with a demonstrable record of profitable results
- An existing and credible broker network , and confidence interacting at senior broker level
- The ambition to take on greater autonomy and responsibility in your role
- A commercial mindset balanced with sound underwriting judgement
- A proactive, collaborative approach and a desire to help shape the next stage of the team’s growth
