We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in New Malden, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 and enjoys supporting pupils as they transition from Key Stage 1 into more independent and structured learning.

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally during this important stage of their development. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, promoting positive learning behaviours, and ensuring all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL, are supported effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum

  • Deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons

  • Support pupils transitioning from KS1 to KS2 with confidence and independence

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL

  • Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and a growth mindset

  • Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment and attainment records

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing

  • Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives

  • Support school events, enrichment activities, and extra-curricular opportunities

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive in their teaching approach

  • Show a clear commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing

  • Work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team
