International Mobility Consultant (80-100%)

About the Role
In this pivotal position, you'll lead the management of our cross-border incentive compensation processes while also managing international assignments and contributing to key strategic projects. You'll navigate complex international taxation and compliance requirements to ensure our globally mobile employees receive seamless support throughout their international career journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll compliance of incentive compensation for employees on international assignments and international local transfers
- Collaborate with global tax advisors and payrolls to address cross-border complexities (e.g. cross-border taxation, split payroll) and ensure accurate, compliant reporting of incentive compensation across all relevant jurisdictions
- Design and drive continuous improvement of processes and tools, taking responsibility for their maintenance and effectiveness
- Provide expert consultation to HR business partners and senior leadership on complex international mobility matters
- Manage international assignments from initiation to completion, serving as the primary point of contact for employees and business stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with immigration, tax, and social security regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Analyse cost projections and prepare assignment packages that balance employee experience with cost efficiency
- Coordinate with vendors including relocation companies, tax providers, and immigration specialists to deliver seamless mobility services
- Lead or contribute to key projects , e.g. short term business visitor compliance, international teleworking
- Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative approaches to global mobility challenges

You'll be joining the International Mobility team within Reward, a Centre of Excellence comprising around 40 professionals across 6 global locations. The team provides best-in-class Reward solutions in key matters of Compensation, Benefits, and International Mobility. We pride ourselves on delivering services that are compliant and sensitive to business, risk, and financial requirements while aligning with the Group Reward Strategy. Our team has a genuine passion for quality and works collaboratively to provide integrated support for HR and the Business on all Reward matters.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Specific advisory or in-house experience with payroll compliance for cross-border recurring and/or incentive compensation
- Strong preference for individuals with experience in Big 4 Global Mobility Services team (specifically global incentive compensation and/or central account management and advisory) or in-house International Mobility team (with specific responsibilities for cross-border incentive compensation)
- Strong or significant experience in international mobility or global HR
- Solid technical knowledge of international tax, payroll and social security
- Comprehensive knowledge of global mobility practices and international tax implications for expatriate assignments
- Strong analytical skills and affinity for data
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable using emerging technologies (such as AI tools) to improve efficiency and collaboration
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex mobility concepts clearly to diverse audiences
These are additional nice to haves:
- Understanding of income tax and payroll legislation regarding incentive compensation across multiple jurisdictions, ideally including at least two of the following: the United States, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
- Experience with Equus AssignmentPro
For London, the annual base salary range for this position is between GBP 72 000 and GBP 108 000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.
