Fit Out Project Manager (Small Works)

Salary: Up to £72,500 per annum plus package Role Overview The Small Works Project Manager will be based full time within a prestigious financial client’s building in East London, managing fabric fit out projects typically valued between £25,000 and £100,000. The role is client-facing and requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and programme management skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Flexibility to work out of hours and weekends is essential due to the live environment. Key Responsibilities * Manage the pricing and delivery of small works fit out projects, including review of scopes and surveys, issuing pricing requests, assessing supplier quotations, and producing client quotations within agreed timescales * Coordinate specialist trade packages and subcontractors, arranging surveys, programmes, and site activities to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently within a live building environment * Act as the primary point of contact for the client, Account Manager, and internal stakeholders, managing approvals, cost queries, project changes, and expectations * Oversee project administration and reporting, including job number creation, tracker updates, and attendance at regular client and internal meetings * Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including RAMS, CPPs, permits, audits, and corrective actions * Manage quality control, snagging, client walk-rounds, final sign-off, and project close-out, ensuring all certification, drawings, and handover documentation are issued in the required format * Liaise with the commercial team to support accurate job costings and timely invoicing Requirements * SMSTS qualification, valid CSCS card, and NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant trade * Proven experience managing fit out and interiors projects for main contractors, ideally within live building and financial sector environments * Demonstrable experience pricing and delivering small fit out projects up to £250,000 involving multiple contractors * Strong working knowledge of RAMS, CPPs, permit systems, and health and safety management * Experienced user of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office software * Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills, with the ability to chair meetings and produce clear minutes * Professional and presentable, with flexibility to work out of hours when required * Reside within a one-hour commute of Canary Wharf What’s on Offer * Salary up to £72,500 per annum plus package * Pension scheme * Private healthcare, dental insurance, and life insurance * Eligibility to join the Employee-Owned Trust (EOT) scheme after 12 months’ continuous service * Length of service reward scheme * Tradepoint discount scheme * Private financial advice * Family-friendly benefits
