Bid Manager (6026)
Bid Manager – Drive Growth. Deliver Impact. Make a Difference.
Location: Hybrid with base in Fareham, Hampshire, or Sidcup in Kent
Hours: Full-time
Salary: £45,619 per annum
Closing Date: 30th January 2026 (subject to nay changes)
Are you an experienced Bid Manager ready to shape the future of social care and community support?
At Avenues Group we believe in creating opportunities for disabled and autistic people to live the life they choose. We’re growing and we need a skilled, strategic, and inspiring Bid Manager to help us get there.
This is your opportunity to lead complex, high-impact tender projects that help us reach more people, innovate our services, and deliver lasting social value.
You’ll manage tender applications from start to finish, working with colleagues across pricing, bid writing, and service delivery to craft winning, high-quality submissions that bring our mission to life.
You’ll play a key senior role in ensuring every proposal is not just compliant but compelling, evidence-based, and impossible to ignore.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage all tender applications for Avenues Group and Autism Hampshire, ensuring every bid is submitted on time and at an exceptional standard.
- Oversee pricing strategies, guiding our approach to costings and value.
- Craft compelling, evidence-based submissions that stand out.
- Work with colleagues across the organisation, influencing and motivating them to meet deadlines and deliver excellence.
- Build a library of winning content and continually improve our processes.
- Use market intelligence and innovation (including AI tools) to keep us ahead of the curve.
About You
You’re a confident, collaborative professional with a track record of success in bid or tender management within social care, community, or not-for-profit sectors.
You bring a mix of commercial savvy, project management expertise, and creative flair. You know what makes a winning tender stand out and you can communicate complex ideas with clarity, purpose, and heart.
You’ll have:
- Proven experience leading on tender submissions or managing bid teams.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement, especially local authority or NHS contexts.
- Excellent writing and communication skills — able to turn insight into powerful narratives.
- Strong financial, analytical, and project management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to thrive under deadlines.
- A passion for social impact, growth, and improving lives.
Why join us?
This isn’t just another bid role, it’s your chance to lead strategically, innovate boldly, and directly contribute to life-changing work. You’ll have the autonomy to shape our bid approach while being part of a supportive, purpose-driven organisation.
As part of our commitment to the “Disability Confident Scheme”, candidates who declare a disability, and meet the key criteria for this role, will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities at interview stage.
Ready to Lead and Inspire?
If you’re excited by the idea of using your expertise to help shape the future of social care, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now and help us deliver the growth that changes lives.
