Podcast Production Assistant

The Fashion Blueprint is looking for a highly organised, creative Podcast Production Assistant to support the development and production of our upcoming podcast. The show spotlights fashion, culture, sustainability, global creatives, and the people shaping the future of the industry.

This role is ideal for someone who loves audio storytelling, enjoys research, and wants to work on producing a professional podcast from pre-production through to launch.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Production & Research:

• Assist with researching episode themes, industry news, and guest backgrounds.
• Help develop interview questions, episode outlines, and creative angles.
• Support the scheduling of recordings and communication with guests.
• Prepare briefing documents for the host and production team.

Recording Support:

• Assist with setting up recording environments (remote or in-person).
• Support the host and guests during recordings, including timekeeping and note-taking.
• Monitor audio quality during remote sessions and troubleshoot minor tech issues.
• Help capture behind-the-scenes content for promotional purposes.

Post-Production Support:

• Organise audio files, transcripts, notes, and assets for the editor.
• Assist with basic audio editing (optional, depending on skill level).
• Prepare episode descriptions, show notes, and pull quotes.
• Support editing reviews and ensure episodes align with the creative direction.

Marketing & Promotion

• Assist with creating social media snippets, audiograms, and promotional reels.
• Support content planning for episode launches across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and newsletters.
• Help upload episodes to hosting platforms and update metadata.
• Track listener feedback, platform analytics, and engagement trends.

General Admin & Project Management

• Maintain production calendars, release schedules, and episode trackers.
• Organise shared folders, transcripts, research documents, and contact sheets.
• Keep communication flowing between producers, editors, designers, and guests.

Profile:

Required:

• Interest in audio storytelling, podcasting, or broadcast media.
• Interested in the intersection of fashion, culture, and creativity.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Notion, or similar project tools.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent written communication and research abilities.
• Comfortable liaising with guests and supporting recordings.
• Creative, curious, and proactive.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of storytelling.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working with people.
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude.

Desirable:

• Experience with audio editing tools, e.g. Audacity, Adobe Audition, Descript, etc.
• Background in fashion, culture, media, or creative industries.
• Ability to create social content, e.g. video editing for reels/audiograms
• Audio troubleshooting and tech confidence.
