The Opportunity & Contract Profile
Join the operational team of a large secondary school dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and secure environment. This is a critical, hands-on role requiring a reliable and proactive individual to ensure the daily operational efficiency of the premises.
- Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (52 weeks per year).
- Working Hours: 08:00–17:00, Monday–Friday, with earlier finishing times on Friday during winter months. Occasional evening/weekend duties are required.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
- Maintenance: Performing a range of minor repairs and DIY projects, including basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks.
- Safety & Compliance: Conducting regular fire alarm and emergency light testing, monitoring access points, and ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
- Support: Supervising cleaning staff, assisting with porterage duties, moving furniture, and setting up rooms for school needs.
- Line Management: Reports directly to the Premises Manager.
