We are hiring a Technical Specialist to join our team and ensure all the Technicians in the team are performing to their full potential whilst working in a safe and productive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement for the team including in-field training, assisted visits, regular job chats, promoting teamwork and regular communications of business goals and objectives.
  • Provide first line escalation to Technicians for any problematic repairs or customer complaints.
  • Provide first level complaint handling and issue resolution for customer sites and monitor KPIs and machine reporting as directed by Technical Manager to ensure proactive in improving First Time Fix.
  • Perform routine reactive breakdown and scheduled proactive maintenance calls as directed by the Technical Manager.
  • Provide training and development support to underperforming Technicians as directed by Technical Manager.
  • Where appropriate monitor day-to-day field technical process including PDA usage and Minimum Call Procedures to ensure are performed to standard. Collate sufficiently detailed post call audit feedback to support further performance management recommendations if required.
  • Perform regular vehicle stock audits as directed by Technical Manager ensuring compliance to stock management process.
  • Audit tools and equipment provided to Engineers, including company vehicles as required, to ensure good safe-working order and the return thereof as detailed in the Company Toolkit Checklist.
  • Own onboarding for any new starters and ensures standards deployed/maintained. Ensures all team members display a professional appearance and act in accordance with Selecta values.
  • Work with the Service Manager and Merchandising team to improve product availability and reduce unproductive visits.

Requirements

  • The drive, determination and commitment to get things done. Confident, with a high level of self-motivation, possessing the ability to work to own initiative and possessing a hands-on attitude.
  • In depth technical knowledge of vending products, with flexibility and adaptability to keep pace with product developments.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to support, train and develop team members.
  • The ability to work well with others, network and build relationships and to have a strong impact on performance within the Technical Team.
  • Positive approach to problem-solving, solutions driven and able to manage change.
  • Ability to take on board spectrum of work under pressure and to deliver within the agreed time frame
