Physiotherapy
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Neuro Physiotherapist to join a well-established NHS Hospital in London on a locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality neurological physiotherapy to patients across the stroke pathway within a busy acute hospital setting. You will play a key role in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients following stroke and other neurological conditions, supporting their recovery, mobility and functional independence.
As a locum Physiotherapist, you will benefit from working within a highly regarded NHS service while enjoying the flexibility and variety that locum work can offer.
• Manage a varied caseload of adult patients presenting with acute stroke and other neurological conditions.
• Undertake comprehensive physiotherapy assessments using evidence-based neurological assessment tools.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes to optimise mobility, balance, functional independence and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, dietitians, psychologists and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe and effective patient transitions to community, rehabilitation or onward care services.
• Provide education, advice and support to patients, relatives and carers to promote ongoing recovery and self-management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, case discussions and discharge planning meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC standards, NHS policies and professional guidelines.
• Participate in clinical audit, service development initiatives and continuing professional development activities. Essential Requirements:
• Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Minimum of two years' post-graduate experience within Neurological Physiotherapy.
• Previous experience working within an NHS Stroke or Neurological Rehabilitation Service.
• Experience assessing and treating patients with acute stroke and complex neurological conditions.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively. Skills and Competencies:
