Bid Writer / Bid Manager
About the Role
Our client, a leading contractor in the construction and social housing sector, is looking for a talented individual to join their Planned Maintenance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either a Bid Writer looking to take the next step in their career or an experienced Bid Manager seeking a new challenge. You will play a key role in preparing persuasive, high-quality and compliant bids that win major projects.
Depending on your experience, the role can be shaped to focus on writing and coordination (Bid Writer) or strategy and leadership (Bid Manager).

What you ll do

Write and coordinate compelling bid submissions

Develop clear win themes that demonstrate client value
-
Work with colleagues across the business to meet deadlines
-
Ensure submissions are compliant with all requirements
-
Manage post-submission feedback and lessons learned
At Manager level, you ll also:

Lead bid strategy and manage the full bid lifecycle
-
Oversee client and pre-market engagement activities
-
Run review sessions to improve future submissions
-
Manage risks across technical, financial, and legal aspects
What we re looking for
-
Bid Writer: 2+ years experience in bid writing, ideally within construction or social housing

Bid Manager: 5+ years experience in bid management with leadership responsibilities
-
Degree-level education (ideally writing-based)
-
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisation and attention to detail
-
Proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office
