Your role may include providing one-to-one or small group support, assisting in lessons, and helping pupils access learning and school life fully. You will be integral in promoting independence, positive behaviour, and confidence.

You will observe and monitor pupils’ progress, provide feedback to teachers, and assist in implementing interventions tailored to individual needs. Strong communication and collaboration with staff, parents, and external professionals are essential for success in this role.

  • Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and support staff

  • Liaise with parents and external professionals when required

  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

  • Attend staff meetings, training, and CPD sessions

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient

  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Be proactive, flexible, and reliable

  • Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing

Location
