SEN Teaching Assistant - Kingston
We are seeking a patient, caring, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Kingston, starting as soon as possible. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping pupils with additional needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with additional needs. Your role may include providing one-to-one or small group support, assisting in lessons, and helping pupils access learning and school life fully. You will be integral in promoting independence, positive behaviour, and confidence.
You will observe and monitor pupils’ progress, provide feedback to teachers, and assist in implementing interventions tailored to individual needs. Strong communication and collaboration with staff, parents, and external professionals are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
Assist during lessons, transitions, and break times
Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and support staff
Liaise with parents and external professionals when required
Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Attend staff meetings, training, and CPD sessions
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
