Middle Office Prime Services Analyst

G MASS Consulting are supporting a leading global investment bank in the appointment of a Middle Office Prime Services Analyst to join their Operations function.

This role sits within Prime Services Middle Office, providing daily trade support to the Securities Lending / Stock Loan desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the trade lifecycle, supporting front office activity, and ensuring the accurate processing and control of stock loan transactions.

This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment within a lean team, requiring a strong understanding of the securities financing lifecycle, trade controls, and counterparty interaction.

Requirements:

• Supported the daily processing and control of stock loan / securities lending transactions across the full trade lifecycle.
• Acted as a key contact between trading, operations, and external counterparties to resolve trade queries and settlement issues.
• Monitored trade bookings and positions to ensure accurate representation of borrows, loans, and associated collateral movements.
• Investigated and resolved reconciliation breaks, settlement fails, and trade discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Managed lifecycle events including recalls, rerates, substitutions, and corporate action impacts on securities lending positions.
• Oversaw daily position and exposure monitoring, escalating risks or exceptions where required.
• Produced operational and risk reporting for internal stakeholders, supporting transparency across the stock loan book.

Requirements

• Experience working within stock loan / securities lending operations or middle office.
• Strong understanding of the securities financing trade lifecycle.
• Experience investigating trade breaks, settlement issues, and reconciliation discrepancies.
• Knowledge of lifecycle events including recalls, rerates, substitutions, and corporate actions.
• Ability to liaise effectively with traders, operations teams, and external counterparties.
• Comfortable operating in a high-volume, time-sensitive operational environment.

Benefits

Salary: up to £60,000

Length: 6 months rolling, with view to being made permanent
