THE ROLE.

As a Senior SEO Account Manager, you will take strategic ownership of multiple client accounts, leading not just delivery but the long-term vision and commercial contribution (identifying opportunities, supporting renewals, and protecting scope) of your portfolio.

As a Senior SEO Account Manager at Found, you are the heartbeat of your accounts. You bridge the gap between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution. You will take ownership of complex client portfolios, moving beyond keyword-led strategies to deliver a holistic organic presence across search platforms including search engines, LLMs, social media and third party websites - connecting technical SEO, UX, multi-modal content brand authority, digital PR, CRO, and AI visibility.

You are a project management powerhouse, with strong SEO knowledge and strategic thinking. You will work fluidly with Paid Media, Data, Content, CRO and PR teams to ensure campaigns are integrated and efficient. You will act as the day-to-day strategic lead for clients, guiding them through the changing landscape of AI search while mentoring Senior SEO Executives to deliver their best work.

IMPACT OF THE ROLE

Your work will directly contribute to:

  • Commercial Growth: Identifying opportunities to grow client impact and investment, and partnering with Account Directors/Client Services to land them.

  • Strategic Leadership: Driving long-term strategies that align with wider business goals and the evolving AI search landscape.

  • Stakeholder Engagement : Building relationships with key decision-makers on the client side, supporting commercial conversations and renewal planning.

  • Team Development: Mentoring SEO Executives, providing line management and guidance to help them become experts in their field.

  • Operational Excellence: Overseeing high-quality execution and ensuring measurable impact from all deliverables.

  • Integrated Efficiency: Ensuring content, technical, PR and Paid Search efforts are not siloed, but aligned to maximise visibility across all channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ACCOUNT LEADERSHIP

  • Contribute and evolve long-term EverySearch™ strategies that deliver client growth, visibility, and commercial value.

  • Maintain roadmaps, aligning activities with client budgets, timelines, and business objectives.

  • Collaborate with Paid Media and PR leads to identify efficiencies and unified messaging opportunities.

  • Lead senior client comms, including performance reviews, supporting commercial conversations, and escalation management.

PERFORMANCE DELIVERY

  • Ensure client work leads to measurable outcomes, tracking Organic visibility across search platforms alongside traditional KPIs.

  • Prioritise strategies that drive visibility and conversions across Search, AI, and Social platforms.

  • Collaborate with Paid Media and PR teams to utilise cross-channel data to inform organic strategy and drive efficiencies.

  • Ensure recommendations are implemented (working with clients and specialists) and track the outcomes against KPIs.

  • Lead internal performance reviews and ensure consistent delivery standards across accounts.

COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Develop productive relationships with senior stakeholders, identifying renewal and upsell opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Client Services and SEO Account Directors on contractual, financial, and operational matters.

  • Support renewals, proposals, and commercial conversations; SEO Account Directors retain final ownership of commercials, contracts, and pricing.

  • Provide strategic insight into growth planning and account development.

  • Manage account hours and resources, ensuring we deliver value without over-servicing.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Line manage and mentor SEO Executives, conducting weekly 1:1s and quarterly performance reviews.

  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring your team has clear briefs, deadlines, and the support they need to succeed.

  • Review the work of your direct reports to ensure it meets Found’s high standards before it goes to the client.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

  • Manage workloads and ensure effective resource allocation.

  • Oversee compliance with information security policies and company procedures.

AI & INNOVATION

  • Utilise AI responsibly and ethically in line with company policies, ensuring transparency and trust in its application

  • Champions responsible use of AI, modelling curiosity and confidence in applying tools day-to-day.

  • Identifies opportunities where AI can enhance delivery and client experience.

  • Supports the testing of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies, helping clients improve visibility in AI results.

  • Actively shares learnings and best practices with peers, helping embed AI into team ways of working.

  • Utilise company platforms (such as Asana, Float, and other internal tools) effectively to manage tasks, resources, and workflows.

  • Log time accurately and on schedule, providing transparency and supporting operational planning.

  • Promote and uphold Found’s values and culture, acting as an inspiring, supportive, and accountable team member or leader.

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery that enhances Found’s reputation and strengthens client trust.

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Found’s technology, products, and services, ensuring these are applied effectively in your role.

  • Stay informed of industry standards, innovations, and emerging approaches in digital marketing, applying relevant insights to client and agency work.

EXPERIENCE & PROFILE

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an agency environment, managing complex client portfolios.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex roadmaps simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

  • Proven experience mentoring or managing junior team members, with a track record of supporting their development.

  • Experience working alongside Paid Media, PR, or Content teams, understanding how channels impact each other and how to communicate cross-channel wins.

  • Well-rounded SEO skillset with understanding of Technical SEO, Content Strategy, Brand Authority, and AI Search.

  • Comfortable managing account hours, resource allocation, and scope adherence to ensure profitability.

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain complex performance data and strategic pivots to clients clearly and confidently.

  • Strong data analysis skills and experience using core SEO/analytics toolsets (e.g., Google Search Console, GA4, crawling tools, and keyword/visibility platforms).

  • Comfortable working with developers and specialists to ensure recommendations are implemented and validated (e.g., QA, impact checks)

  • Comfortable using AI tools for efficiency in your daily work (analysis, briefing, process automation).
