About the Role/School:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant community school in Kingsbury, North West London, starting ASAP. This nurturing and inclusive school caters to children aged 3 to 7 and places a strong emphasis on providing a supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.

The curriculum is carefully designed to ensure children develop the necessary language, skills, and knowledge across all subjects. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a supportive team, helping to provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, ensuring that they can access the curriculum and feel confident in their learning journey.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with special educational needs.

Work closely with class teachers to deliver differentiated lessons and activities.

Support children in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.

Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to tracking and reporting progress.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported and valued.

Encourage independence and build self-confidence in children with SEN.

Support the class teacher in maintaining classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications/Experience:

Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).

Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (preferred but not essential).

Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.

Right to work in the UK.
