About Grayce

Grayce specialises in delivering transformation through high‑performing emerging talent. For over a decade, we’ve partnered with some of the UK’s most ambitious organisations - including FTSE100s, FTSE250s and major public institutions - deploying exceptional people who make a real impact.

When you join Grayce, you join a purpose‑driven, people‑first organisation committed to capability-building, continuous development, and supporting long-term impact across communities. You’ll work closely with a fast‑growing Public Sector practice and contribute to meaningful change across Local Government, Blue Light, Arms-Length Bodies and wider public institutions.

The Role

As a Client Partner, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships across Grayce’s Local Government and wider Public Sector clients.

You will work with Local Authorities, Police Forces, Blue Light organisations and other public sector bodies to identify opportunities, build strategic relationships and support the growth of Grayce services. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure effective delivery, strong client satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.

This is a strategic, outward facing role that blends business development, client engagement and internal collaboration to support continued expansion within the Public Sector.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Market Growth

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for Grayce services across Local Government and wider public sector clients.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of sector priorities including digital transformation, workforce reform and data driven modernisation.
  • Support the creation and delivery of market growth strategies across the Local Government landscape.
  • Identify opportunities through frameworks, procurement routes and partner networks.
  • Contribute to proposals, commercial opportunities and sector led initiatives.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across Local Authorities, Police Forces and Blue Light organisations.
  • Act as a key point of contact and maintain proactive, regular engagement.
  • Understand client challenges and priorities, aligning Grayce services to support their objectives.
  • Translate workforce and delivery requirements into effective resourcing solutions.
  • Support growth and development of existing client accounts.

Partner and Sector Engagement

  • Build relationships with technology vendors, consultancies and delivery partners.
  • Work with partners to identify new opportunities within Local Government.
  • Represent Grayce at sector events, conferences and networking forums.
  • Maintain awareness of policy changes, funding developments and sector priorities.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Operations and Marketing to support delivery and account growth.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure opportunities are managed effectively.
  • Support internal planning for demand generation and resource needs.
  • Contribute to cross functional collaboration and operational alignment.

About You

You are a confident relationship builder with a strong understanding of Public Sector environments. You enjoy developing long term strategic partnerships, spotting opportunities and working collaboratively to deliver high quality outcomes. You are proactive, commercially aware and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.

Essential

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in sales, account management or client facing roles.
  • Strong professional network across Local Authorities, policing or combined authorities.
  • Experience working with partner ecosystems including SI partners, technology vendors or consultancy partners.
  • Understanding of public sector procurement processes and decision-making structures.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Key Attributes

  • Strong relationship builder with influence and credibility.
  • Commercially aware and client focused.
  • Highly organised and detail oriented.
  • Proactive, accountable and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Collaborative and effective across varied internal teams.
  • Resilient, self-motivated and results driven.
