Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position. Candidate profile: In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions, guiding the migration of applications from legacy platforms to AWS while ensuring services remain secure, resilient, and scalable. You will take ownership of architectural decisions, balancing technical excellence with business needs, and providing clear direction across diverse application and infrastructure environments. You will work closely with delivery teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders, offering hands-on guidance, shaping technology roadmaps, and supporting governance and assurance activities. You?ll be encouraged to think creatively, lead with confidence, and develop others, supported by a culture that values collaboration and shared success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead & Architect end-to-end solutions across applications and infrastructure
  • Design & Migrate legacy platforms to AWS cloud environments
  • Influence & Shape architectural strategy and technology roadmaps
  • Secure & Assure solutions aligned to security, compliance, and risk standards
  • Guide & Support teams across build, run, and integration activities
  • Collaborate & Engage with stakeholders to deliver business value
Required qualifications to be successful in this role You will bring strong experience designing and delivering complex technical solutions, with the credibility to lead teams and engage confidently with senior stakeholders. You should be comfortable owning architecture across varied technology stacks and guiding delivery through ambiguity and change. You should have:
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Lead Engineer on complex programmes
  • Strong background migrating applications from legacy platforms to AWS
  • Broad technical knowledge across application, infrastructure, and integration technologies
  • Experience providing architectural leadership and strategic direction
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
