The team leads the creation, governance, and optimisation of partnerships, ensuring strong collaboration, operational efficiency, and shared value delivery. You will work closely with senior internal stakeholders and external partners to drive strategic alignment and support long‑term business growth.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead the development and maintenance of multiple, complex, global and regional alliances that span the pharmaceutical development and commercial lifecycle. • Interprets contractual terms and positions with partners, resolving differences by balancing commercial, legal, and relationship considerations.
  • Leads negotiation and preparation of formal contract amendments, ensuring alignment with business strategy, governance requirements, and approved mandates.
  • Acts as a senior partner to Business Development, providing alliance input into deal strategy, negotiation, and post‑deal implementation to ensure continuity from signature to execution.

Relationship management and consensus building

  • Acts as the principal axis of communication for the alliance—internally and externally—fostering collaboration, trust, and transparent communication.
  • Represents the partner’s perspective internally, and Mundipharma’s position to the partner, managing areas of misalignment and driving results across all alliance dimensions including Finance, Supply, Quality, Legal, Patents, Clinical Development, Non‑Clinical Development, Commercial, Compliance and others.
  • Anticipates, identifies, and addresses issues or potential conflicts early, leading resolution through influence, negotiation, and structured escalation aligned to governance protocols.

Alliance governance and best practice

  • Designs, establishes, and leads alliance governance structures, including team formation, launch meetings, and ongoing governance forums, ensuring effective decision‑making and accountability.
  • Ensures senior and functional stakeholders understand their contractual obligations, creating and communicating briefing materials and guidance as required.
  • Provides oversight of contractual obligations and key deliverables—milestone payments, schedules, deadlines—ensuring compliance and proactive risk management.
  • Leads activities to assess and monitor alliance health and performance, turning insights into targeted improvement plans.
  • Leads alliance termination activities in line with contractual terms and industry best practice, including negotiation of termination agreements and oversight of hand‑back activities, protecting Mundipharma’s reputation.
  • Champions alliance management best practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of standards, tools, and ways of working across the organisation.
  • Provides coaching and guidance to colleagues and cross‑functional team members to support development of internal alliance management capability.
