Special Needs Teaching Assistant

1:1 Teaching Assistant (Reception - ASD Support)
Location: Notting Hill, London
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in our Reception class from January.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference at a crucial early stage of a child's learning and development, within a nurturing and supportive school environment in the heart of Notting Hill.

The Role:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception-aged child with ASD

• Support learning, communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions

• Encourage independence while ensuring the child feels safe, supported, and included

• Support with routines, transitions, and play-based learning activities

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children with ASD or additional needs (school or nursery setting preferred)

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for supporting young children's development

• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential
