A nurturing and inclusive primary school located in the London Borough of Ealing is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs within its Early Years provision. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early intervention and inclusive education.

The Role
You will work with children in Nursery or Reception who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism spectrum condition, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs, and developmental delay. Support will be delivered through 1:1 work and small-group interventions.
Your role will focus on supporting children to:
Access learning through structured play
Develop communication and interaction skills
Regulate emotions and behaviour
Build independence and confidence
You will work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo, contributing to individual support plans and early intervention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted SEN support aligned with EHCPs and learning plans
Support learning through play-based and adult-led activities
Use visual supports, routines, and sensory strategies
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support transitions throughout the school day
Assist with personal care and toileting when required
Observe and record progress
Maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards
Person Specification
The successful candidate will:
Have experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in EYFS
Be patient, calm, and nurturing
Have a good understanding of early childhood development
Be flexible, proactive, and reliable
Work well as part of a collaborative team
