Development Manager

Job Title: Development Manager – PBSA/Hotel Schemes (Central London)

Salary: £90,000 - £105,000 + Package
Location: Central London

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Development Manager to oversee a few high-profile PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) and hotel projects based in Central London. Reporting directly to the Development Director, you will manage the full development cycle of multiple schemes, from inception to delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in large-scale development, ideally on the contractor side, with experience in managing projects that involve interaction with funders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Take responsibility for the delivery of multiple PBSA or hotel schemes, overseeing the entire development process from initial concept through to completion.

Funder Interaction: Experience with either directly or indirectly reporting to funders, ensuring project milestones are aligned with financial expectations and that reports are delivered accurately and on time.

Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and design teams, to ensure efficient project execution.

Risk & Budget Management: Identify project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, while ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to high-quality standards.

Stakeholder Coordination: Manage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned and that project objectives are clearly communicated and met.

Progress Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Development Director, funders, and other key stakeholders, ensuring transparency on milestones, timelines, and any potential issues.

Key Requirements:

Experience: Proven background working on the contractor side with large-scale PBSA or hotel developments.

Funder Exposure: Must have experience either directly or indirectly reporting to funders, demonstrating strong communication and financial reporting skills.

Leadership: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in managing large-scale developments, particularly in residential or hospitality sectors.
