Responsibilities of a Supply Teacher:

A Supply Teacher will take responsibility for the class, deliver the work set and maintain the routines that help pupils feel secure and ready to learn.

• Teach planned lessons with energy and clarity
• Use positive and consistent behaviour management
• Respond appropriately to different learning needs
• Collaborate with classroom support staff
• Record key information for the returning teacher

Requirements for a Supply Teacher:

To succeed as a Supply Teacher, you will need UK QTS, recent knowledge of primary education and the ability to settle quickly into unfamiliar classrooms. You should bring a calm presence, good judgement and a clear commitment to safeguarding.
