Project Manager

Hollis
London

The Vacancy

Our forward-thinking Project Management team is going from strength to strength and we want to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate level Project Manager, ideally from a Building Surveying background, to help with our growth across the London region. This is a vital role designed to expand the team and support with the delivery of a variety of exciting, innovative projects and help nurture our existing client base.

Working directly with our Senior Management team, you will be encouraged, supported, and trusted to get involved with business development in various forms to help maximise our service offering. We have successfully developed an extensive portfolio of lucrative projects, including city centre high-rise façade remediation works, new build retail and industrial units, Cat A & Cat B office fitouts, high-end residential amenity space fitouts and complex lab fitouts to name but a few.

At Hollis we promote an entrepreneurial culture, so you can expect limitless opportunity and encouragement to grow into your own specialism as you see fit. With over 500 staff across 24 offices in UK and Europe, we foster our ‘One Team’ spirit through a collaborative approach across our many business areas to achieve the best results.

We recognise that our people are our biggest asset, and you can expect to be rewarded with an inspiring culture, competitive packages, transparent progression, and consistent opportunities to fulfil your career aspirations.

Main responsibilities:

  • End-to-end project management of small and large commercial refurbishment/fit-out projects including reports, tenders/bids and liaising with internal and external contractors

  • Act as the face of Hollis and contribute to the growth of our project management team across various sectors

  • Take the lead on refurbishment and fit-out projects, varying in complexity across commercial real estate sectors (CAT A + CAT B fit outs, industrial sheds, retail units, residential, leisure etc.)

  • Opportunity to support with facade remediation projects and work on other fire safety instructions

  • Line manage and mentor junior surveyors and contribute to the direction of the Project Management offering across the region

  • Integrate and work closely with existing Associates and Director leads to facilitate exceptional product delivery

  • Support the continued growth and development of a strong, dynamic team within the London region on a social and professional level

  • Manage a lucrative existing client base, build and maintain client relationships

  • Support with business development through attending events, meetings and other networking opportunities in the real estate industry

Please note that the immediate workload would be on existing buildings and would not be focussed on design and build phases. Project values range from £1/2million up to 20-30 million on average.

Key requirements

  • Experienced managing Project Management instructions across a variety of commercial (real estate) refurbishment projects, specifically office and retail buildings

  • Experienced delivering refurbishment/fit-out projects at values of £1m-£20m+

  • Commercially minded and motivated to support Hollis' goals for developing the wider PM service, cross-selling services and sourcing new business opportunities (BD)

  • Chartered Project Manager in MRICS or MAPM - or desire to work towards in the near future

  • Dynamic, forward-thinking, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to take ownership of your work

  • Able to take the lead on project delivery from start to finish and capable of hitting the ground running

  • Client facing and able to manage relationships effectively

  • Line management experience advantageous

Our preference is to recruit directly wherever possible. Should this role be approved for support from external recruitment partners, we will contact our PSL agencies accordingly.

Please note that we do not accept unsolicited CVs from agencies. Effective introduction of a candidate will only be accepted if it has been requested to submit CV’s in relation to a specific vacancy. Any speculative submissions will not incur a fee. For any queries, kindly reach out to the appropriate Talent Acquisition team member.
