NHS Engagement & Growth Manager

Stream
London

The Company:

Stream was founded with the mission to provide fair financial tools to the everyday worker. Offered through destination employers like Greene King, Bupa, Burger King, Asda and the NHS, our award-winning platform helps over three million people to earn, learn, save, spend and borrow on their own terms, all in one smartphone app.

Stream is unique: VC backed and growing at scale, but with a social conscience. Some of the world's leading impact funds were our founding investors, and we operate on a social charter, which means every product and service we create must measurably improve financial wellbeing.

You’d be joining a team of over 200 passionate, ambitious people across Europe and the USA, building a category-defining product, and united by that same mission.

The Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the financial lives of the UK's healthcare heroes. Stream is already a proud partner to over 130 NHS Trusts and Health Boards, meaning more than 900,000 NHS employees have access to our service.

However, awareness and adoption of this crucial benefit are incredibly low, and fall far behind other sectors Stream operates in.

We are looking for a passionate and commercially-minded individual to take on this challenge. Working closely with our dedicated NHS Client Success and Delivery team, your sole mission will be to unlock the potential of our existing NHS partnerships. You will be the architect of a strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and ultimately, adoption of Stream, ensuring hundreds of thousands of NHS workers can benefit from a service designed to improve their financial health.

What you'll do:

You will be responsible for creating and executing a multi-channel strategy to deeply embed Stream within our NHS partners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement innovative engagement strategies to significantly increase Stream adoption across our NHS client base, with a clear goal of growing active user numbers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Map, build, and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within NHS Trusts, NHS England and regional groups such as ICBs, to secure their buy-in and active support. This will include payroll partners such as ESR and other equivalents in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
  • Build a Community: Identify, recruit, and empower a network of enthusiastic ‘Stream Champions’ on the ground, providing them with the toolkits, resources, and support they need to drive peer-to-peer adoption.
  • Communications: Create compelling and NHS-resonant communication campaigns and materials (posters, digital assets, case studies, guides) to ensure our message cuts through the noise and lands effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Pilot & Scale: Design and run pilot programs within specific Trusts or departments to test new engagement tactics, gather crucial feedback, and refine your approach.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Track adoption metrics, analyse data to understand what’s working, and report on progress to internal teams, using insights to build a scalable and repeatable adoption framework for the entire NHS estate.
  • Collaboration: Work hand-in-glove with the NHS Client Success and Delivery team to ensure a seamless and aligned approach to supporting our partners.

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone with a unique blend of communications expertise, strategic thinking, and a genuine passion for the NHS.

  • Essential NHS Experience: You have direct experience working within or for the NHS (e.g., at a Trust, an ICS, or NHS England). You understand its complex structures, unique culture, and communication channels, and you know how to navigate them effectively.
  • Communications & Engagement Pro: You have a proven track record in a communications, marketing, or engagement role, with demonstrable experience of creating campaigns that drive behaviour change.
  • Relationship Builder: You have a natural ability to build rapport and influence senior stakeholders, turning sceptics into advocates.
  • A Growth Mindset: You are curious, creative, and results-oriented. You’re comfortable testing new ideas, learning from feedback, and iterating your approach to find what works best.
  • Project Management: You are highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, and can see a strategy through from concept to completion.
  • Mission-Driven: You are motivated by our social mission and are passionate about improving the lives of frontline workers.

Working policy: We operate a hybrid policy with a requirement of 3 days a week in the office

Salary: A starting base salary of £50,000 - £60,000 + bonus + equity

What will we do for you?

  • 25 Days Annual Leave in addition to public holidays (up to 5 day rollover), as well as flexible time off allowances for any ad-hoc childcare/family/caring needs
  • 24 weeks' paid Maternity Leave and 4 weeks paid Paternity Leave for employees with over 12 months service
  • Special Leave for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and other fertility treatments
  • Sabbatical scheme
  • Paid leave to volunteer
  • Private Healthcare including comprehensive mental and physical healthcare
  • Salary sacrifice to pension, as well as bonus exchange to Pension: reap even more rewards of any bonus by paying into your pension & save on Tax and NI + added compound growth
  • Season Ticket Loan
  • Access to Salary Sacrifice Schemes via ThanksBen: THE Benefits marketplace. Choose the benefits you want, when you want. Pay less tax, receive more value, including: Workplace nurseries, Cycle to Work, Home and Tech Scheme and more.
  • The best benefit of all, access to Stream!

At Stream we celebrate and support our differences. We know employing a team rich in diverse thoughts, experiences, and opinions allows our employees, our product and our community to flourish. Stream is an equal opportunity workplace. We are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity/expression, or veteran status.
