Head of Client Sales and Partnerships (Finance, Business and Tech) (Hiring Immediately)
About The Role
We are looking for a highly connected commercial salesperson with a proven track record of winning complex digital and partnership business through strategic client relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring deep, established relationships across the UK’s Finance, Business and Technology sectors, with direct access to senior marketing decision-makers at leading brands.
This role requires someone who is already trusted by CMOs, Marketing Directors, Heads of Media and senior strategists and media planners across these sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage your established network of senior marketing relationships across UK finance, banking, asset management, fintech, B2B technology and business services brands to drive new commercial opportunities
- Develop and maintain direct relationships with CMOs, Marketing Directors and Heads of Media across priority accounts to generate sustainable revenue growth
- Lead proactive sales efforts within the category, identifying high-value partnership opportunities across Telegraph Media Group’s commercial platforms
- Deliver revenue directly through proactive client engagement while supporting internal Digital and Editorially Integrated Partnerships (EIP) teams on key briefs and pitches
- Identify mid- to long-term partnership opportunities ahead of formal agency briefings through strong client and agency relationships
- Collaborate with internal specialists across Digital, Editorial Partnerships, Innovation and Creative teams to develop best-in-market commercial solutions
- Play a leading role in building long-term strategic partnerships with priority brands across the sector
- Transfer opportunities effectively into internal specialist teams while ensuring best-in-class client service throughout the commercial process
- Maintain a strong understanding of sector dynamics across finance, banking and technology to identify emerging commercial opportunities
Key Skills
- A well-established network of senior marketing relationships across UK finance, wealth management, asset management, banking, fintech, B2B technology and business services brands
- Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with CMOs, Marketing Directors, Heads of Media and senior marketing leaders
- Strong commercial lead with experience developing complex digital, editorial and partnership-led pitches that convert into high-value revenue
- A strategic thinker who can understand broader business challenges and translate them into compelling commercial solutions
- Highly commercially minded, able to identify and unlock high-value opportunities and build strategies to convert them
- Confident presenter with a strong track record of leading and winning major pitches
- Exceptional relationship builder with the ability to operate credibly at senior executive level
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a strong ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
