The Role
As a Development Executive, your primary focus will be generating new commercial insurance business across SME and mid-market clients. You'll develop relationships with prospective clients, identify opportunities for growth, and work closely with Account Executives to convert leads into long-term clients.

Key Responsibilities

* Generate new commercial insurance business through networking, referrals, and self-generated leads

* Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across SME and mid-market clients

* Present tailored insurance solutions to prospective clients

* Work closely with Account Executives and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding

* Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, insurers, and introducers

* Meet and exceed new business and income targets

About You

* Proven experience in a Development Executive or New Business role within commercial insurance

* Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and the UK market

* Confident, proactive, and target-driven

* Natural relationship-builder with excellent presentation and negotiation skills

* ACII qualified or working towards (beneficial, not essential)

* Comfortable working independently, whether in the office or remotely

* £60,000 - £70,000 basic salary + bonus linked to new business performance
