The Role

POLARIS is looking for a Search Manager to support the Head of Search in delivering Search 360 across Foundation and Growth level client accounts. This is a role suited to an experienced SEO professional who is ready to take ownership of a client portfolio, lead a team of executives and freelancers, and drive measurable commercial outcomes across SEO, GEO, content, digital PR, and paid media.

You will play a central role in the Polaris delivery team at a pivotal moment in the agencys growth. Search 360 is our proprietary intent-mapped marketing system spanning SEO, GEO, content, digital PR, PPC, paid social, organic social, and email powered by Kartessien, our AI delivery platform. Every engagement is delivered to the POLARIS Operational Excellence Standard, and this role is accountable for upholding it across every account in your portfolio.

Search Manager - What youll be doing

Account Management and Delivery

Managing Foundation and Growth level Search 360 accounts as primary delivery lead
Owning client strategy using the search 360 framework by identifying strategic roadmaps and defining Scope of Works that increase client performance
Owning performance against commercial outcomes and presenting results clearly in monthly, quarterly and annual reviews
Supporting the Head of Search on strategic planning, scoping, and client communications across the department
Pitching new business opps with the sales manager to support the companies growth

Team Leadership

Managing SEO and content executives day-to-day direction, briefing, quality, and development
Briefing and managing specialist freelancers across technical SEO, content, and digital PR
Acting as quality gate for all client-facing work leaving the team

Search 360 Delivery

Overseeing SEO, GEO, content strategy, and digital PR delivery across your account portfolio
Coordinating with paid media and organic social channel leads to ensure Search 360 is executed as a joined-up system
Supporting GEO programmes including prompt mapping, entity optimisation, and LLM citation strategy
performance monitoring and reporting through Monthly and Quarterly touchpoints

Search Manager - What were looking for

Min 5 years agency experience in an SEO delivery role, with experience of analysing data to identify opportunities and presenting them to clients.
Strong, commercial communicator thats clear with clients, direct with teams, accountable for results
Solid understanding of content strategy, digital PR, and how organic channels connect to commercial outcomes
Comfortable integrating AI tools into delivery workflows and interested in how AI is reshaping search
Experienced with SE Ranking, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4
