Retail Set-up & Maintenance Assistant
Responsibilities: To support the smooth running of the retail store by carrying out hands-on maintenance, furniture repairs, and wall set-ups, ensuring the store is safe, functional, and visually always presented to brand standards. Event Responsibilities:
- Carry out basic furniture repairs and adjustments within the store
- Support wall set-ups, fixtures, fittings, and visual merchandising installations
- Assemble, move, and dismantle display furniture and retail equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely, cleanly, and with minimal disruption to the venue
- Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness
- Use tools and equipment in line with health & safety requirements
- Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to management
- Practical and solution-focused
- Takes pride in high standards and attention to detail
- Calm and professional in a customer-facing environment
- Team-oriented and approachable
- Adaptable and happy to support varied store needs
- Work flexibly to support trading hours and store operational needs
- Experience in a practical, hands-on or manual role (retail, maintenance, construction, or similar)
- Comfortable using basic hand tools
- Good physical fitness, with ability to lift and move fixtures safely
- Awareness of health & safety in a customer-facing environment
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Experience working in a retail store or showroom environment
- Basic carpentry, DIY, or handyman skills
- Experience supporting visual merchandising or store fixtures
- Full-time role
