This full-time, long-term role is ideal for an ambitious graduate looking to apply their academic knowledge while supporting students in the English department .

The Role

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to support learning and help pupils develop confidence in English and literacy .

Your responsibilities will include:

* Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group academic support in English .
* Assisting students with reading, writing, comprehension, and literacy development .
* Supporting English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 .
* Working collaboratively with English teachers and other staff to enhance learning outcomes.
* Helping students build confidence, engagement, and positive learning habits .
* Contributing to a supportive and productive classroom environment .

This role offers excellent experience within a secondary school setting , particularly for graduates interested in pursuing careers in teaching or education .

Person Specification

We are seeking a high-achieving graduate who:

* Holds a 2:1 or above in English, English Literature, or a closely related subject .
* Demonstrates a passion for education and supporting young people .
* Is professional, proactive, and enthusiastic about working in a school environment.
* Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
* Has experience working with young people or in educational settings (desirable but not essential).

Previous school-based experience is not essential , as full support and guidance will be provided.
